FAQs

What Is BlueWater?

BlueWater is an on-ramp for better mental health. We help people overcome life's challenges by providing convenient, discreet, and affordable access to licensed mental health support. BlueWater provides access to professional recovery services through any computer, tablet or smartphone- making it available anytime and anywhere.

Who will be helping me?

It all starts with a phone call. You will be paired with a Mental Health professional who suits your goals, preferences, and the type of problems you are experiencing. It's important to choose a mental health professional whose methods and areas of focus match your needs, so that you can get the best possible results. We want to ensure the best possible experience for our clients, so we do our best to provide a successful match from the start.

What is the role of BlueWater?

This service is provided by independent mental health providers who work independently of BlueWater, and they will communicate with you directly after you establish initial contact over the phone. These Mental Health providers are not employees of Bluewater and the site doesn't oversee them professionally. Our goal is to provide a platform where users and mental health providers can connect and communicate efficiently.

Are Mental Health services covered by Health Insurance?

BlueWater and its service providers do not submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid.

The services offered on this site are usually only available through private health insurance or cash. Sorry, but no Medicare or Medicaid is accepted.

Although traditional mental health services may have some discrepancies in coverage and benefits between different insurance companies or plans, there are usually commonalities among them.

Here are some general rules that often apply:

  • Health insurance plans vary greatly in terms of coverage, with some providing full coverage, while others only partially cover mental health-related expenses.
  • In most cases, it helps to have an existing therapist who can diagnose you with a mental disorder or issue. The insurance company would receive and record this diagnosis in your medical file. Our service providers can help with the insurance process. Please call.
